Made To Deceive

This guitar was made in Japan. That is the only marking or label anywhere on the guitar.

It was made to deceive. Even brand new, this guitar was a fake and could not be tuned to pitch. It is 100% laminated construction.

The head looks pretty fancy.

The big problem with this guitar is the laminated top. The super thin spruce "coating" is so poorly adhered that any stress on the bridge or any where else, such as with tape, causes the spruce layer to peel off. They did not even use bolts to secure the bridge.

Another construction technique showing intent to deceive is careful machining around the sound hole. The edge is so thin that you can’t see the laminations. Break off a chunk with your fingers and the laminations become visible.

I would not give 5 cents for any guitar with this icon on the head stock.
