Incompetent Neck Repair

The repair shown in the images below show an amazing lack of understanding about wood basics and guitar structure.

The heel on all acoustic guitars has the wood grain oriented along or parallel to the rest of the neck. In other words, this is the narrowest and weakest part of the entire guitar. This work makes so sense at all, and illustrates amazing incompetence.

If you can’t perform a proper neck reset and shim tightening of the dovetail joint, take the guitar to someone who can. You are just messing up a nice guitar. And you know who you are.
