Tone quality and harmonic response are excellent. This guitar offers nice play feel and perfect intonation. High E action is below 4/64 at the 12th fret and Low E very slightly above.

Neck was reset.

Back was removed, ladder bracing on top was removed, new V-bracing installed. This is a great innovation in top bracing. When a guitar has top distortion, V-bracing easily corrects the issues. Reason is, the braces are full length, block to block. The braces are adjacent to the sound hole 1/4 to 3/8 inch away, and go over and are glued to the reinforcing plate. Also, Harmony used spruce for the reinforcing plate. This is adequate for a string through bridge, but not at all for a pin bridge. So, this is replaced with maple.

Back bracing is original, but rounded and sanded smooth.

Bracing is added to the sides. I don’t believe anyone else does this, but it is a mark of my quality workmanship.

I pay attention to small details. Top braces are tapered and sanded smooth. The inside back and sides are cleaned up and sanded smooth. Back braces are rounded and sanded smooth. Harmony production glue globs are chipped out. Serial numbers (if any) are preserved.

Condition

• Top - This is a great example of what will happen if you let a guitar get hot and dried out. The top cracks are all due to excessive dryness. All cracks are comprehensively stabilized. The guitar is now fully humidified. It has full range harmonic response and excellent tone. However, because of the top repairs, it poor volume or loudness. If you have good hearing as I do, you will enjoy playing this. If you are over age 40, you probably won’t like it at all. Forty years age seems to be when higher frequency hearing starts to degrade. So, I do not recommend this for the older generation. That is; don’t buy if you are an adult over age 40. This is a kids/teenager guitar/young adult guitar.
