1969 Harmony Sovereign H1260 X-braced Conversion (#220) SOLD

Back was removed, braces removed, new braces installed.

Neck is excellent. Action is 4/64 at the 12th fret.

Structurally speaking, this is in excellent condition.

Neck was reset.

This is yet another in a series of great sounding large bodied brace conversions. Exceptional sound. Considering age, this guitar is in great shape.

We pay attention to fine details. The inside back and sides are cleaned up and sanded smooth. We chip out all of the glue globs. Braces are tapered and sanded smooth. Serial numbers (if any) are preserved. Back braces are rounded and sanded smooth. We use a drill press with reamer and press guide to install new solid metal bushings and modern tuners. We do what Harmony should have done 50 years ago.

Condition

• Body - Very nice and clean throughout with one glaring exception. This guitar had some kind of roofing tar or black guck on the upper back left side bout. This material removed the finish right down to the wood. There two other smaller and much less visible areas on the back. No cracks.
• Top - No cracks and zero pick wear. One obnoxious dent below the bridge clearly shows in images.
• Original pick guard not included, but it really does not need one. The attachment area cleaned up almost perfectly.
• The gear head is very good to excellent.
